Store Street once again set Bloomsbury alight, launching Bloomsbury Festival’s extraordinary weekend with Step Out Store Street, a spectacular night-time street party. The street was transformed into a public stage for participative dance, where guests had the chance to learn new dance moves, from Tango to Belly and Swing to Flamenco.

Crowds gathered in their droves to watch the premiere of a dramatic new street dance by
by award-winning choreographer Tony Adigun and his Avant Garde Youth Dance Company. Artistic fire sculptures by pa-BOOM once again kept the crowds warm, transforming our favourite Bloomsbury quarter into a breath-taking sight.

Guests discovered a different art-based activity in each of Store Street’s special boutiques, cafés and restaurants, from portrait drawing at Store Street Gallery to floral spoken word performances at Orchidya. Craft beers, wine and cocktails kept visitors hydrated as they took in live folk music on the fire-lit bandstand on South Crescent.

The atmosphere on the street was electric and Step Out Store Street was the ever perfect way to kick start a jam-packed weekend of exciting events, celebrating the area’s renowned arts and culture offer, and the Festival’s theme of language.

We would like to thank everyone who celebrated with us and showed their support to Bloomsbury Festival. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
