The Olivelli Restaurant on Store Street was originally founded in Bohemian Bloomsbury by Rita and Enrico Olivelli back in 1934. Since 1993, Sicilian born Giovanni and Salvatore Salamone continue to preserve the restaurant’s unique characteristics and welcoming atmosphere.
The Olivelli Italian Restaurant’s reputation for excellence is down to the Salamones’ commitment to using the finest quality ingredients, sourced from Italy and nearby markets to create traditional Italian recipes from Sicily in the south, right up to the northern tip of Italy.
In the Bohemian days Olivelli’s became a culinary haven for students from nearby RADA and the established actors and actresses from London theatres. Contemporary performers such as Mel Brookes, Eric Clapton, Kevin Spacey, Graham Norton, Ben Elton and Jack Dee continue to dine at Olivelli restaurants.
Nothing is left to chance which is why the dishes you’ll find on the menu – including the TIME OUT recommended ice cream – are created only by Olivelli Paradiso chefs.
